Acadiana, led by Coach Glenn Laviolette, won its first title and also its 30th game, the most ever by any Louisiana team up
to that point. It was also Acadiana's first of three consecutive Final game appearances and fourth in five years.
Jesuit made its fourth straight trip to the Finals. Jesuit was matched against Lafayette in perhaps the toughest first
round game ever in a 32 team bracket format. Jesuit won in overtime.
Barbe made its fourth of six Semifinal appearances. Ponchatoula made its first and only trip to the Semifinals. Slidell
and Catholic BR faced each other in the opening round with Slidell winning, but Slidell would lose in the 2nd round.
