Back-to-back state champion St. Paul's would not give up its title without a furious fight. The Wolves survived two
shootout wins before losing in overtime to Woodlawn BR. Woodlawn BR made its second trip to the Finals, and won its
second title (titles in 90 and 99).
Baton Rouge did not make it the Final for the first time in three years. R.E. Lee made its first appearance in the
Semifinals since doing so in 1988. Again, Vandebilt would not make it to the Semifinals. St. Thomas More failed
to reach the Semifinals for the first time since 1991.
